August 12th 2007 - (Phew! Busy weekend) The NFAS oraganised a huge charity shoot, which was hosted at Hanson Bowmen's woods, this was all for Edward and was supported by loads of Archers throughout the country.  This picture is of Edward on the back of a quad, Hanson Bowmen supplied the quad and Harry organised a suitable seat for Edward to sit on, he went around the woods, his brother had a go to, but he is a little more camera shy!

Left is a picture of the boys opening a goody bag provided by Harry and Terri, the organisers.  Dad came 1st in the shoot (have to put that!!!!).  We came home with a car full of cuddly toys, donated to Edward from the winners of the raffle prizes, loads of lucky dips - donated from the winners of the various classes of shooting, not to mention two bottles of expensive champagne, which will go into another auction/raffle.  Thank you to everyone for everything.  Funds raised tbc

This picture is of Daryl Blount who did a sponsored skydive for Edward.  What an achievement - raising money for Edward and going through with it!  Although he did say he would do it again!!!  He raised over £1600, incredible.

Out of Town, Ripley hosted a full day of fundraising for Edward on August Bank Holiday.  They had face painting (left), piano smashing, barb-b-que, karaoke and loads more going off.  Everyone looked to be having a great day and the atmosphere was superb.  Staff and volunteers worked really hard to make it such a success.

No, the boys were not taken hostage by Stormtroopers, the group, UK Garrison did however host an event at Moorgreen show, with proceeds going to Edward's Appeal.  Both boys are now honorary members!  They also came away with a very good goodie bag.  What an experience, and they get to go to the space centre to see them!

On the 20th June a charity evening was organised by the lovely Mark Burnham and crew from ASCOT DRIVE FIRE SERVICE.  Sorry we do not have any pics (it was only me and dad anyway!) It was tremendous fun, the firemen were auctioned off for a very large amount of money and some fabulous sports memorabilia which had been begged by the organisers.  The winner of the Firemen then went on to organise another fundraising event using their services.  All in all and massive amount was raised and we will update this when we know the final amount

Saturday 28th June 2008 - SIX huge lorries came up the quiet Ballacraine Drive to pick us up and take us to the fundraising event they had organised - 'Derwent Valley Truck Show - The Driving Force Behind the Edward Bright Appeal'.  It took place over the weekend and it was brill.  The boys loved the very loud journey to Alfreton through Ripley and Edward waved to the curious Shoppers.  They both enjoyed the day, including the HUGE inflatable slide and the Waltzer oh and the Dog Show of course, not forgetting the dancing JCB.  Thank you for a wonderful day :-)

Mile Monster Trio who raised an impressive £1000 on July 6th running their first half marathon.  They invited us down to Ashfield School where they train with the Sutton Harriers.  The boys were able to have a go at the long jump, shot put and javelin.  What a brill job they did, and it was in the rain.  Thank you X
